“Mariposa, fly high and shine bright…”

This piece is dedicated to my dearest friend, Eleanor — a soul as gentle and radiant as butterfly wings in the sun.

Losing her in December left a silence that still lingers, and finishing this artwork became a journey through grief, love, and memory. Every stroke carried fragments of our laughter, our conversations, and the name we once called each other: butterflies.

Though time moves forward, some souls never truly leave us.

You continue to flutter through my heart in the quietest moments.

Forever missed. Forever loved.
